We invite you to join our Church family in worship.  We invite you to come just as you are and let the Lord's goodness touch you through the many wonderful people of Maria Immacolata.  Masses are celebrated on most Friday mornings at Maria Immacolata School and all are welcome to attend.   We are the Church together.  Let us be Christ for one another.

Maria Immacolata Catholic Church parish was founded on September 29, 1963, as part of the Archdiocese of New Orleans.  Father William Fleming, the founding pastor, celebrated liturgies at Houma Junior High School until the church and school were completed in April of 1965.  The church-school complex was located at the end of Estate Drive.

In 1977, the parish became a part of the newly formed Diocese of Houma-Thibodaux, and in 1980, Father Richard Hemenway succeeded Father Fleming as pastor.  Under the direction of Father Hemenway and a building committee, the current church, located on Corporate Drive, was completed and dedicated in September 1988.

Upon the death of Father Hemenway, Father Caesar Silva was appointed pastor in April of 1996, and under his leadership, the church continued to thrive and grow.

Father Clyde Mahler succeeded Father Silva as pastor in July of 2004 and will continue the leadership set forth by his predecessors.  The parish continues to thrive under the patronage of Mary, celebrating with vibrant liturgy an ongoing call to conversion and growth, reaching out "to act justly, love tenderly, and walk humbly with our God" (Micah 6:8)
